About

Hello, and welcome! I’m Dr. Andrew Brown, a Vascular Interventional Radiologist based at St. Michael’s HospitalUnity Health Toronto. With a passion for advancing vascular care, my focus lies in minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease, including endovascular therapies and the management of chronic deep vein thrombosis, as well as new oncologic therapies, for liver and lung cancer.

I recently led the first Canadian case using the Venacore device, a new thrombectomy catheter by Inari Medical, to treat post-thrombotic syndrome—a groundbreaking step toward improving patient outcomes. In addition to my clinical work, I’m actively involved in research and education, working with hospitals and health organizations to develop guidelines for venous care.

Beyond the lab and operating room, I’ve also taken on computer vision projects to enhance medical imaging and improve hospital efficiency, helping radiology departments become more effective at delivering high-quality care.

When I’m not working on research or treating patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and keeping up with the latest in medical technology.

This website offers a window into my ongoing research, clinical innovations, and collaborations in the world of vascular care. Whether you’re a patient, researcher, or healthcare professional, I hope you find valuable insights here.

Thank you for visiting!
